Hi! My name is Claire Nemes (she/her) and I'm an avian ecologist. Currently, I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) Appalachian Laboratory, where I recently received my PhD studying the wonders of bird migration in Dr. Emily Cohen's Animal Migration Research Group. I'm broadly interested in all aspects of migration ecology, phenology of birds and their environments, and applied conservation in a world increasingly altered by humans.
